After 16 years of domestic violence from one failed marriage and two failed relationships and 15 years of addiction to drugs and alcohol I want a different life. I always knew of Christ, but now I want to truly know Him and have the life God wants for me. I want to walk in love and joy!

I'm definitely not where I was when I first came into Legacy, but I'm also not where God has me going yet either. I am becoming more peaceful and joyful since being on this journey and I know there is no limit to what God can do with me. I'm reconnecting with my family and I'm excited to see what God does there.

God is definitely drawing me into a closer relationship with Him. He is also continuing to restore my family, especially my brother and I. I'm looking forward to the future and what God is doing in me and through me.

I started life under the impression of needing someone to share my days with. After finding who I thought was the one, we wandered down the wrong path...with no belief in God or His power. After being in the dark so long God shed His light onto my life through Legacy. Now I have chance at living the life I was always destined for...with my beautiful daughter to share my days with.

I am not the same girl who came into Legacy four months ago. I am finding out who I am…finding ME. I am learning to trust God, even when things aren’t going “my way”. My faith is being built in the midst of these trials…when the world is saying “No”, God tells me “Hold on baby girl, the best is yet to come”. This time of preparation has been such a blessing and I know everything is going to work out for my daughter and myself.
